I spent five months crafting a design subscription service I was sure would take off—only to realize it doesn’t work. The market for this type of service is smaller than I thought, and most companies who need it already have someone doing it for them.
Looking back, I was so fixated on this “big opportunity” that I ignored what was already working for me: one-on-one web design projects. That’s my bread and butter.
So, here’s the plan: I’m pivoting. I’m narrowing my focus to service-based companies, and who knows? I might niche down even more.
Failing sucks, but it’s also a chance to regroup and try again. If you’re struggling too, remember—it’s okay to start over. What matters is that you keep moving forward.
